Well, I read an earlier thread about a Congress of Vienna that doesn't punish France, and I was wondring-how do we get a Treaty of Versailles that doesn't punish Germany?
For the purpose of the discussion, "non-punitive" means:
-No "guilt clause" forcing Germany to take responsibility for the war
-No limits on the size of the German military
-Limited, justifiable territorial concessions (Alsace-Lorraine, Posen, and colonial possessions come to mind, but let Germany keep Danzig)
-Limited or no reparitions (ie, not the OTL giant ones that caused hyperinflation)
-A plebiscite in Austria on whether to unify with Germany
Also, how can we get a non-punitive (or less punitive)
Treaty of Trianon?
EDIT: I just noticed-wrong forum. My apologies, I need to start going to bed earlier. Ian, feel free to move this if you notice it.
