A Sharon Tate Roman Polanski divorce was probably inevitable. It would get ugly and scandalous.
IMO, the prospect of Tate being a much bigger star is slim. I've seen "Fearless Vampire Killers", & she's nothing special. Maybe she gets a couple of "scream queen" flicks in the '70s, maybe a small role in something like "Airport" or "Earthquake" (replacing Victoria Principal?), but...
I'm not seeing how there's any impact, broadly, on politics or culture.
I'd hardly call that enough to change the outcome of a Presidential election, let alone have broad cultural impacts, unless you count Bugliosi's political ambitions (& I wouldn't).
Charles Manson became the face of the dark, “evil” side of the still very much ongoing Counterculture; I wouldn’t call that nothing.I'd hardly call that enough to change the outcome of a Presidential election, let alone have broad cultural impacts, unless you count Bugliosi's political ambitions (& I wouldn't).

Maybe her career gets rejuvenated by Airplane! like Barbara Billingsley and Leslie Nielson.
