WI: No Spanish Influenza?

It may make it harder to bring Germany to the peace table, since they were hit very hard with the endemic along with Austria.
An interesting point raised is that the origin is most likely from Chinese workers who were in France, so removing the Spanish Influenza may require these workers never arriving - may require having the Chinese help in other ways, since they were desperate in trying to show their commitment in relation to Japan.

Not really, a bit more costly, but with British and French tanks, and American troops the Germans are going to lose no matter what.

Actually the most generally accepted theory of the flu is that it began in Kansas and was relatively mild, went to Europe where it mutated/got worse and then was re-introduced in to the USA by some returning ships. It was the "Spanish" flu because it was initially widely reported in the Spanish press which unlike the press in the warring countries, was not censored.

Both sides were hit pretty hard by the flu, it is not clear if made much difference unlike a situation where one side or the other was hit much harder by disease.

I believe that was the original theory, until records from China in 1916 or something were found to have seen records of epidemics similar to the Spanish flu.

Yakov Sverdlov (an early Soviet leader and the main character of my TL) might have lived.

Now that I've hyped my TL I would like to point out that a world with no Spanish Flu would be radically different than ours. 50-100 million people were killed by the disease, so it's probable that a whole group of potential political and cultural figures were killed. It's difficult to say what would happen, since having that many people left alive would radically change world history within a few years at most.
