Let's say that Benno Ohnesorg doesn't die/ The Schah doesn't visit the BRD/Rudi Dutschke isn't attacked. The RAF as a result doesn't become as radical or at least doesn't have so much support in the leftist scene and therefore end pretty quickly in the late 1960's.

How would the Germany of the 70's change as a result?
 
There might actually be more broad-left sympathy if they restricted themselves to attacking concrete political/military targets rather than resorting to kidnapping individuals.
