WI: No PLC?

What if the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth never formed? Suppose, that Krewo never happens or goes badly FPOTS.

How does this affect Eastern Europe? With two kingdoms instead of one, will this affect Muscovy/Russia's expansion to the west?

Pardon, but what does FPOTS stand for, btw?

What about the Premyslids continuing to exist, their heirs in Luxemboug continued their plans to regain poland even if casimir iii renounced silesia - without a union with lithuania a union with bohemia is very likely to happen.

For the PLC not to form, don't you need Muscowy to be less successful at beating the crap out of Lithuania so much so that Lithuanian nobles would accept the union in order to keep the Ruthenian and Byelorussian lands?

Basically, Lithuania has to do much better in the Muscovite-Lithuanian wars:

Maybe Helena daughter of Ivan III accepts to convert to catholicism despite the wishes of his father, thus depriving him of his pretext for the landgrab?

If there is no union, than I expect much earlier expansion of Muscowy/Russia towards the west. In 1503, Muscowy took almost 1/3 of Lithuanian territory: mainly the former territory of the Pincipalty of Chernigov.
Without the Union, subsequent wars could bring Smolensk and Polotsk to Muscowy (Smolensk was OTL taken in 1512 anyway) and probably the eastern bank of the Dniepr.

With no Union of Krewo Lithuania would probably become Orthodox and would be considered another Russian Principality. And yes, we could see Muscowy having westwards ambitions much earlier.

Poland:
Poland was in chaos, there were several pretenders to the throne, and the only thing the Polish nobility could agree on was that they didn't want the Personal Union with Hungary to continue (thus Mary's claim failed to get traction). Jadwiga's ATL marriage would be very important, she was actually supposed to marry William of Austria at one time, but the bethrothal was repudiated because a strong factions of Polish nobles were against it.
