WI , no lend lease for the British Empire

WI , no lend lease for the British empire in WWII .
How soon would they have to give up fighting .

Well Canada provided them with lots of vehicles and they were pretty much in stale mate with Germany, so I say they fight on.

The question is how much did lend lease add to Britain's fighting power between the fall of France and the start of Barbarossa. IIRC it was hardly decisive. Britain only needs to hold on as per OTL until the USSR come in and then they'll have a major ally to fight alongside.

In this period of time that can't be too relient on lend-lease vehicles, considering they sent ship loads of vehicles and tanks to the Soviet Union.

It becomes harder for Britain, but by no means impossible nor a reason to give up. Germany still can't invade, Britain has a harder time in Africa and a more impossible task on the continent.

British industry is safe from German troops and bombers and so just keeps building its own things. Takes a lot longer to do everything of course, but eventually the US has to get involved and without lend-lease the USA has more of its own tanks anyway, making it easier for them?

Britain would not be bankrupted by paying for it all, America does not get bases and the British Empire lasts a little longer with may be a better outcome on independance for African countries not like the rushed job forced by America in TTL.

I can't speak financially, but militarily without U.S. tanks to go around you may see a more expedient development of what eventually became the Centurion Tank in order to narrow the armour gap with Germany as more and more heavy tanks make it onto the field.
