How might things have deviated if the United Kingdom had been ruled by someone else besides George III? Were there any other possible claimants, and would this have greatly effected the American Revolution and other conflicts the UK took part in?

The only other candidates I can think of were George II's sons - Frederick, Prince of Wales (George III's father - the people loved him), and William, Duke of Cumberland (nobody liked him, apart from his parents).
I think it is fair to say we all want this brother to be our ideal King of Britain and the United Empire. What about George III siblings? At least according to Wiki there were eight of them and one of the brothers also had issue Prince William Henry, Duke of Gloucester
