WI no Gallipoli

This is pretty simple. Churchill is shot down on the Dardanelles idea. There is no attempt to force the straights or any landings in 1915.

What happens? How are the forces used instead? Does this have to involve Churchill leaving the government?

I'd say there's a good chance that most of those troops will instead be used in Salonika, somewhere else in the Balkans, or in the Middle East. It's unlikely that a lot of those ANZAC troops are going to be sent all the way to France when there's other fighting going on between them and France.

One possibility is a part arrive in Mesopotamia in time to relieve the 8th Indian Div besieged at Kut. Or they arrive early enough Townsends force is not trapped there at all.

It definately has possibilities for the operations in the Middle East. If Kut could be releaved, how might that success aid the Entente plans?

The failure of the Mesopotamia campaign up until Kut got the two commanders fired and Maude placed in command. He trained the forces better and it resulted in the eventual victory. No Kut as we know might mean the incompetents stay in charge?
