WI: No Egypt

What if the great civilisation of ancient Egypt never emerged and the Egyptians remained leaderless farmers? The butterflies would be limitless, which makes an interesting prospect. What if?

I honestly can't see how you get no civilization of any kind emerging. The combination of fetile land but constrained room for expansion is just going to cause conflict.

You could have no Ancient Egyptians as we know them, but it wouldn't be possible to have no powerful civilisation emerge there; the banks of the Nile are the perfect location for an ancient state.

If the history of ancient Egypt changes (civilization WILL take root early there, it's pretty muhc unavoidable barring some horrible parasite inhabiting the Nile and not spreading beyond there), history as we know it is totally butterflied. The world is now your sandbox. Go nuts.
