WI: No Bruneian Invasion in the Philippines

I had a research long time ago that the Northern Island of Luzon was dominated by the House Tondo , the city of Selurong or Manila was invaded by the Bolkiah of Brunei and the head of the House of Tondo defeated and had the daughter of the Head of the House of Tondo marry into Bruneian royalty and Luzon fell into the influence of Brunei, Bolkiah had no political grounds to conquer Luzon compared to William of Normandy in Britain except for personal gains if this invasion did not happen or Bolkiah was defeated and Buddhism becomes more established in the Northern part of the Philippines what would be the consequence of this in the age of exploration?

So in this scenario, does Buddhism take the place of Islam as the dominant religion in the northern Philippines, or do the two simply coexist side by side?

The reason why I posted this thread is because I am using this scenario on a timeline I am doing.
Bruneians had just added the northern part of the Philippines to their sphere of influence a few decades before the Spanish conquest started that is why Islam never take root nor became a majority religion but had Brunei won the war against the Spanish or Magellan never came the Islamization will continue.

The House of Tondo were not muslims to begin with, I think their victory could allow the Hindu, Buddhist and Folk religion to flourish and might amalgamate with each other and with islam(or christianity), the new foreign cult.

Since the Igorots of Cordillera and Mangyans of Mindoro were not pacified by the Spanish, I am thinking that had Brunei not deposed the House of Tondo there could be a strong independent polity in the northern part of the Philippines using a stronger army that withstands the Spanish rule if not expel them.

Basically, I think it will be more Buddhist.

I was thinking that if the Island of Manila or Luzon was not invaded by the Bruneians I think the 'Tondoan' domain or the ones ruled by the House of Tondo and it's vassals will be based on the North and it will be advantageous to the dialects/languages north of pasig river like Kapampangan and Ilocano.

The resistence of the Tondoan domain to the Spanish in the same way as the OTL resistence of Maguindanao and Sulu will be interesting for sure, the Tondoan domain, Maguindanao and Sulu resisting together will be interesting.

Could the history of OTL Luzon and Mindanao be kinda swapped if the Bruneian invasion never happened at the early 16th century I rememer that the Maguindanao Sultanate is still not established.
