In 1964, the Chicago Cubs traded rookie OF Lou Brock to the St. Louis Cardinals for veteran P Ernie Broglio. The Cubs were in search of pitching and it looked like Broglio, who had had a few good seasons, was just what they were looking for. Brock was a rookie who was an unknown quantity. IOTL, Broglio managed to only win 7 games for the Cubs in 2 years, while Brock led the Cardinals to the World Series in '64, '67, and '68 while becoming a stolen base king and a Hall Of Famer.
But what if the trade was never made? Would having Brock in CF helped the Cubs reach the World Series in 1969?
