WI: No Attempt to Assasinate the Archduke

Gotta leave more than 5 hours before a bump mate. Also, how is this any different from the huge number of 'no WW1' threads we have dotted around?

There may be some kind of an assassination attempt on someone else even if the one against the Archduke doesn't happen; June 28 was the worst possible day to have Habsburg visits and that sort of events in Sarajevo. But with the thread title in mind I guess we should assume any of these are also called off or prevented.

There are a few general conclusions to be made about the next years.

Russia will grow considerably stronger with new railroads and military reform. On the other hand there is a possibility she might have a falling out with Britain.

Britain grants Ireland home rule in 1914.

Italy and Romania move further away from the "Central Powers" (not so much from Germany as from Austria-Hungary).

Serbia and Montenegro may form a federation over the next few years.

Greece and the Ottomans may go to war in 1914. If they do, the result is most likely inconclusive and the great powers eventually intervene to stop the fighting.
