WI No Angevin Empire

What if Henry II of England never married Eleanor of Aquitaine so the Angevins never gained Aquitaine. How would this affect Europe? Let's say Eleanor marries Sancho of Castile and Henry marries a princess of France or Navarre. What if?

How big a factor was Elenor's armies and incomes in Henry's ability to claim the English throne? Wikipedia says Henry brought "only a small army of mercenaries, probably paid for with borrowed money" when he went to England; is that accurate, and did his ability to call upon Elenor's resources for reinforcements have an impact on his ability to bring King Stephen to terms?

Let's say that Henry still gets England but not Aquitaine.

Do you think that the alternate Angevin Empire would survive longer? Perhaps even England keeps Normandy and Anjou permanently(though that may be a bit far-fetched)
