WI: Neil Gaiman sells Angela to DC Comics

In the last pages of Age of Ultron, Angela entered the Marvel Universe. What if instead of selling her to Marvel Neil Gaiman sold her to DC? How would that affect Angela?. How would that affect the Marvel and DC universes?

Pretty sure that Gaiman's decision was part of the deal he had to get the Miracleman rights back and the series finished.

Stone me, has that happened?
When did it happen, how did I miss it?

*feverishly searches 'net*

Oh yes, get in! I know what I'm buying myself next payday, 20 bloody years I've been waiting to find out what happens next.

Thanks, Garbageman.

To my knowledge, Gaiman didn't get the Miracleman rights back. The lawsuit he was involved in was moot all along because Miracleman creator Mick Anglo had the rights all along and Marvel bought those rights. However, Marvel obtaining the rights probably played a role in his decision as you point out. What if DC had obtained the rights instead, would Gaiman have sold Angela to them instead?

Hmmm, probably. Marvel had been supportive of Gaiman against McFarlane since 2003 (that's part of the reason 1602 came out). If DC had been in that position, don't see any reason why Gaiman wouldn't have done the same.
Although DC acquiring Miracleman would make Alan Moore's head explode.
