Following the defeat of Nazi Germany, a group of Nazi officers still at large begin an insurgency against the Allies occupation forces. Will they be successful in liberating the Reich, or will they be crushed?
Quite possibly yes, depending upon the specifics.
IOTL, we do know there existed a network of 2,000 ex-Wehrmact and SS personnel who formed part of the Gehlen network and supposedly formed a cadre for up to 40,000 resistance fighters to be used in the event of a Soviet invasion of the Western Zones; if this force could somehow be utilized as a Pro-Nazi resistance, you've got the basis for a potent force. In the Eastern Zone, there isn't any chance of success because the Soviets have the willingness and forces to prevent it. In the West, however, it's a
far different story.
Unconditional Surrender, Demobilization, and the Atomic Bomb by Michael D. Pearlman makes it pretty clear national morale was eroding and how quickly the occupation force became impotent speaks volumes about the ability of the Western Allies to halt this as well as their capabilities in facing down such an issue long term. Also of note is the fact the Soviets would probably support it, as long as it remained in the Western Zone; IOTL they were supportive of the SRP, nearly continued the Nazi Party's paper, and were at least open to a reunified Germany soon after the war to an extent.
