WI:Nazi Conquest Of Jerusalem?

I'm not sure if anything have ever been written on this before, or if Hitler himself ever had any plans regarding it, but lets say the Nazis end up Conquering Jerusalem, the most sacred of places for the Jewish People. What would happen to it? What would happen to the Jews living their?

There was a plan to create a stronghold around Haifa area and use it as a refuge for Jewish community of Palestine. Methink it would require ASB intervention for the enclave to survive Nazi attack. It was more of a plan to go down fighting that a plan to survive.

Jewish community in Palestine = toast. Dying gallantly perhaps, but toast. Anything "Jewish" gets destroyed, western wall left alone as it supports the al-Aqsa Mosque.

IIRC Jerusalem had a Jewish majority since the 19th century

Actually, Jerusalem is one of a handful of places where the Jewish community was primarily not Zionist. Jews have formed a significant portion of Jerusalem's population (whether or not a majority) since David conquered the city, about 3 millennia ago.

I'm not sure that the Nazis could conquer Jerusalem - it's far away. Also remember that it's sacred also to Christians and Muslims. Italy would not be happy if Hitler desecrated anything.

The Church would not be happy, not the Italian fascist government.
Italian peoples alredy hated germans,so not change much.

Nothing good would happen, I'm afraid. Some captured Nazi documents were found and announced back in 2006 where it was noted that an SS Einsatzgruppen ("Special Action Group") was formed and on standby in occupied Greece, ready to go to Egypt and then Palestine, once Rommel had occupied both. Since Rommel got stopped at El Alamein, they never deployed.
