I was wondering what would happen if Franco died (from natural causes or war wounds, execution etc. u name it) around 1938-1939?
Franco was the "last man standing" in the Nationalistic side afte the deaths of Sanjurjo, Mola, Cabanellas and Liopis... So if he died too who gets to become "El Caudillo"? Would his eventual successor be strong enough to hold Spain the same way Franco did or Civil war would be followed by a second round?
