Older brother of Napoléon III died in 1831 of measles(?) while he was involved in some carbonari activity in Italy IIRC. So what if he hadn't? Might we see a Bonaparte headed movement in Italy? Or would he fail there and make a comeback in France as his brother did? Also, he's been married to his cousin, Charlotte Napoléonne since 1826, but there are no children. Was this simply because they were not together enough to make babies? Or would Charlotte turn into a Josèphine 2.0 (oh the irony, since this time it'd be a Bonaparte girl and a (half) Beaharnais boy repeating the same problems)? I ask because I read somewhere (ICR where, though it was probably Aronson's The Golden Bees) that Charlotte died in childbed OTL.
