WI: Mussolini dies in 1935

A heart attack? Really? At least have him die in a creative way, like being hit by a train going at reckless speeds to reach Rome on time as he's inspecting the railroad that very day:rolleyes:

In all seriousness, Mussolini would end up with a completely different legacy, maybe even a positive one. One of his cronies would take power.

I'm not sure if the invasions of Abbysinia or Albania would be butterflied away, but I'm guessing they would also be affected.

Italy would likely remain neutral in WWII, which means the med would be open for British shipping, Germany would not get involved in Africa or the balkans, the British would be better prepared in the Pacific, and the remaining french colonies in north africa would opt to join free france. A very different WWII.
