WI: Murad V isn't Deposed?

What if Murad V, who reigned as Ottoman Sultan and Caliph of Islam from May to August 1876, had avoided being deposed and put under house arrest by his political opponents? Could we have seen a brief civil war between Muradites and anti-reformists? What would his constitution have looked like and how better off would the Ottoman state have been?

Murad V was mentally ill to some degree or another (although probably not totally incapable of ruling), so I feel if he weren't deposed, the government would be dominated by various powerful politicians, probably leading to a dictatorship of some flavour or another at some point with Murad in the background content to do nothing.
