WI: Muhammad of Ghor fails

Muhammad of Ghor was one of the many medieval Muslim leaders from the Iranian plateau who launched conquests into the rich, fertile lands of India. Ghori is considered to be the most important (along with the earlier Ghaznavi) as his conquests made permanent gains in Northern India, dislodging Hindu rule from Delhi forever (with the exception of Hemu briefly in the 16th century).
However what if Privthiraj Chauhan, the main Rajput king of northern India and Ghori's biggest opposition, had defeated and killed Ghori?
In OTL Chauhan defeated Ghori at the first battle of Tarrain and had the opportunity to execute him, however he chose not to.
Let's assume this is the POD and the Islamic invasions of India face a major halting in what was basically it's cradle, what are the changes in this timeline?
On the unification of the Rajput clans,
The effects it would have on central Asia, specifically Afghanistan,
and the development of India with less or even no major Islamic influence on its culture.
