WI: Muhammad Ali Pasha killed in 1805

During the massacre of the Mamluks at the Cairo citadel, one captured Mamluk bey asked for a drink of water. When his hands were untied so he could take the bottle, he snatched a dagger from one of the soldiers and rushed at Muhammad Ali Pasha.

Let's say he somehow succeeded in killing the Pasha. What consequences would this have had?

Egypt is in a power vacuum. Someone else may come along to secure it but may not have as much as powe as he did.
