Also, in such a scenario, Hosni's son Gamal Mubarak would succeed him--with a strong military influence, of course.
 
I think we might see Omar al bashir move against al turabi and his core supporters alone earlier in order to appease Egypt and the int. Community rather than an egyptian invasion. Or maybe the government will fold to a number of demands to expel certain organizations such as Islamic Jihad and al qaeda

Thus, we might see a 1914-style Egyptian ultimatum to Sudan in this TL. In such a scenario, I expect Omar al-Bashir to fully agree to this ultimatum--no matter how humiliating.

Would that humiliation lead to his overthrow , possibly with Egyptian aid ?
