I and many fans of the Rocky movies, have always dreamed of fight between Ivan Drago and Clubber Lang. But since Stallone was the star back then, we were threated with Rocky IV. Anyway, what if the producers decide to give Mr.T his own series of movies called "Clubber"? Would the series or the movie be a success? Or would it become a box office bomb? If it succeeds, would Mr.T become some kind of Hollywood star?
An own movie with Clubber Lang would be nice. Especially if he fights Drago. I have imagined this plot:
Rocky still wins the ReMatch against Clubber, as in OTL Rocky III. However, Balboa finally decides to retire after the match, thus making the title vacant. Lang doesn't bother long about his loss, as he gets the shot at the Heavyweight Championship, which he wins of course.
Then, Drago and his Soviet clique arrive in the USA like IOTL Rocky IV. Only with the difference, the Clubber wants a fight immediatly. But Apollo Creed gets the fight, as he is promised a fight against Clubber Lang after Apollo's victory. Of course Apollo dies just like in Rocky IV, and Rocky wants to come out of retirement, to fight Drago. Lang however wants to prove to the world, that he is better than Drago. In the end, he gets the fight and not Balboa, but Duke and Rocky agree to forget their feud and both agree to train with Clubber in Siberia. In the end we come to the fight, and we see a different Clubber Lang. He now goes the distance instead of his rampant style seen in Rocky III. The fight goes more or less like in Rocky IV, except the cheesy victory speech.
So what do you think? Could have Mr.T carried a movie franchise on his own?
