WI More than just peasant rebellions in Germany

Hi, I am new to the site but I wanted to know if an idea was plausible.

In the 1500s to just about after the thirty years war Germany was subject to massive amount of unrest, could harsher treatment of the protestant lords(idk persecution or seizure of lands and properties) could have led to a large scale revolt and secession of low germany. Perhaps, the anger directed at the Catholic Church could be aimed at those conniving Hapsburgs.

If so, who would be a good candidate to lead and would the leader be more or less absolutist.

Also the Netherlands would be part of such a state.

What if there was no Thirty Years’ War and pressures built up through the 17th century straight up until the alt-Age of Enlightenment? You might see republican rebellions ITTL.

Europe would have been far more populous without a 30 year war. Maybe more pauper folks in crowded cities leads to more unrest in alt-enlightment age world ?

So you guys are saying that the pent up pressure builds up past the Protestant Reformation and into the enlightenment age

I would think the German peasants War was large enough in scale... making it greater and more successful requires it either reaching out to the towns, or to princes, like no Division between magisterial and radical reformation, but that's not plausible, mixing the class interests all wrong.
