IOTL, the Germans attempted to supply the Irish nationalists with weaponry via submarine, but these were intercepted, and the resulting confusion lead to the Rebellion being much less organized than it otherwise might have been.

How is history changed if the weapons are never intercepted, and the Rebellion goes as planned? Do the Rebels manage to hold out for longer? If so, what are the impacts on the front lines? Do British reprisals against any suspected rebels or sympathizers still turn the population towards support for the revolt as the execution of the leaders did IOTL?

Do the British decide to simply pull out of Ireland and recognize its independence in order to focus on the Western front? If so, is the island partitioned as OTL? If it is, does the Civil War still start, and how does it play out? If not, is there civil war between the Nationalists and Unionists?

How does this impact the Americans? Does more hostility towards the British from the Irish Americans make it less feasible for the US to enter the war?
