I did point out that some of the Majapahit remnants fled to Luzon, what if more of the Pagan/Hindu Javanese migrated to Luzon, we might see pockets of Javanese which would assimilate later on, would this prevent the Spanish colonization?
I'm thinking of a similar situation to my Buddhist Philippines idea:
Remnants of the Majapahit migrates northward and settled around OTL Manila, Batangas or Lingayen. Later on, they founded a Majapahit successor state, becomes a vassal of Imperial China, which in turn expose them to Buddhism through Chinese immigrants, emissaries and merchants.
There are already buddhists in the Philippines before the Spanish came
, there are Majapahit nobles going to Luzon as refugees, if we make more immigrants from Majapahit go to the Philippines it would make an interesting scenario and besides from that they need to defeat the Bolkiahs in Manila and expel the Muslims.
I think they might adopt Mahayana like fellow South East Asian countries or Vajrayna like Tibet. But not on the places I mentioned. And they're a pretty small number to make a difference.
If this new Majapahit successor state become strong enough before Brunei's expansion, we might expect the latter to think twice before invading. But then, it depends on where the borders meet.

In South East Asia Theravada is the most followed sect of Buddhism, only Vietnamese follow Mahayana.I think they might adopt Mahayana like fellow South East Asian countries or Vajrayna like Tibet.
