WI Montreal Locomtive Works got an incomplete set of Valentine Drawings?

ATL As the title suggests, only an incomplete set of Valentine light tank drawings arrives at Montreal Locomotive Works early in WW2. They got complete drive train and lower hull drawings, but are missing some of the turret and upper hull drawings.
OTL MLW was already planing a cast glacis plate (to simplify manufacture) and an engine built in North America.
ATL what other changes would MLW introduce?

Nice try, but a Ram upper is too heavy because a complete Ram weighed 29 tons.

Valentine tracks, suspension and hull were only designed for a total weight of 16 tons.

The real question is how soon MLW started building Valentine Mark XI with Royal Ordance QF 75mm guns.

How hard would it be to redesign the Ram upper or design a new Valentine upper to fit the Valentine lower? You could then inrease the Valentine's turret ring, design a three man turret with trunnions outside the turret face, and possible find room for two Chrysler or Chevy sixes. Or just telegraph Vickers to send the other half of the drawings on the next plane over.

Yes,
Montreal Locomotive Works could cast turrets.
OTL MLW cast entire Grizzly/Sherman hulls and turrets before they converted to Sexton production.

OTL, there was a plan to update the M3 Stuart to be slightly larger and update certain areas.

used the same turret ring diameter of the Canadian Ram. Weight doubled as feature creep occurred as late 1940 went to 1941 and then 1942 rolled around, when AGF washed their hands of it

Let Montreal Locomotive Works say ' We can do better than the Valentine and T7 tank'

and they mix and match all the bits they have access to, and actually make a decent 15-17 ton tank with GMC diesel power, and cast hull and turret with 57mm gun, that in time be replaced with the QF 75mm

The Brits throw another set of plans on a heavy bomber and fly them across the ocean.

My take on the OP is that the missing plans are just a macguffin. Give the Canadians the prerequisites that the bottom hull and suspension are Valentine, and the main gun will be the 6lb - for the present. Most other components are subject to what can be sourced locally and assembled quickly and to a sufficient quality spec.
