What if Walther Model died somehow in either 2941 or 1942?

Would someone take his place as the Wehrmacht's foremost defense specialist? Would his absence impact the course of the war in sny significant way?

I guess the 1000-year Reich would have become reality.

I think it does make some difference

For example with someone less capable in command, Bagration might be even more successful and reach its OTL objectives earlier
