WI:Mithridates fails to come to Caesar's aid in Egypt

What if Caesar's ally Mithridates of Pergamum was defeated by Egyptian forces before he could send reinforcements to bolster the Roman army? How would that affect the outcome at the Battle of the Nile and the Alexandrine Civil War?

Caesar arrived with Legio IX in Alexandria iirc, which was about 1000 men strong after the civil war. Which does not surprise looking to the late republican recruitment & retirement system.

Without reenforcements, he is either dead or manages to escape from Egypt. The numbers are simply overwhelmigly against him.
