WI: Mikhail Frunze Survives his Surgery

Mikhail Frunze was a major figure in the Bolshevik leadership during the Russian Civil War and noted as a brilliant military commander, solid political theoretician, and was renowned for his steadfast devotion to the ideals of the Communist Party. He was even considered by some as a potential successor to Lenin but unfortunately, due to chronic ulceration, had to undergo surgery and died under the knife on October 31st, 1925.

What if Frunze had survived his surgery with his ulcer problem fixed? At this point Stalin wasn't yet in control of the Politburo and Frunze was the People's Commissar for Military and Naval Affairs, making him a very influential and powerful figure on the Politburo. What impact would Frunze's survival have on the struggles for power in the post-Lenin Soviet Union?
