WI Michael Jackson never had skin problems?

Did he dye his skin, or is that just an old wives' tale?

My brother, an MJ fanatic, says it's some sort of disease called Vitiligo. If he never develops this disease, I assume things are normal in his career, he tours a bit more, until the child molestation cases.

Old Wives' Tale, most likely. He was diagnosed with vitiligo.

Anyways, with or without his natural health issues, Jackson would still have deep psychological issues from his fucked-up childhood and extreme self-consciousness. Ultimately, I suspect that the Vitiligo aggrieved those issues to a great extent, but remain they will. It's entirely possible that without it Jackson will remain 'normal'-looking enough and will have enough strength never to fall into 'Wacko Jacko' territory at all, and the public may not turn on him as it did. It's an open question whether he would still have the same addiction to plastic surgery - his operations began before his diagnosis - but I suspect that he would still be alive today, and stand in rather higher regard than he did in the last decade before his otl death.

EDIT: In this scenario, does Jackson still have Lupus?

I thought this was an invention, or at least an exaggeration, all to misdirect the public as to why he wanted to first turn into Diana Ross and then into... a white Diana Ross? Macauley Culkin? Elizabeth Taylor?

Musicians and actors tend to go nuts after their initial sucess with few exeptions. The odds are against him anyway.

If there is a child molestation case. I've frankly come to believe Michael Jackson didn't do anything pedophiliac. He may have had a way of going about with children which society found too close, but I don't think he had any sexual thing going on there, or any sexual attraction. And Michael Jackson was reported to have been disgusted by the idea of sex with children.

Nope, it was real. Check out what I found with Google image search:

You can see the makeup running off, particularly on his neck.

Again, big pale patch in the circled area.

Check out the side of his face.

This is advanced-stage, circa 1995 -- you can clearly see spotting (little spots of what little melanin remains) on the arms and chest.

No, I know a man with vitaligo. It is very much real, though it is much more noticable on an african american or hispanic person.

My old Xerox copier repairman has vitaligo. Though, his case isn't as advanced as Jackson's. But, it was noticeable. Jackson's other problem was the burns suffered in the Pepsi commercial.

Yeah, Jackson had a quite advanced case of Vitaligo. The man I know only has a few brighter splotches on his arm.
