WI: Michael Jackson, actor

I've never seen it, but apparently everyone thought Michael Jackson was pretty good as the Scarecrow in The Wiz. Of course, in OTL he didn't really act in anything else apart from Captain EO and some blatant vanity projects -- but what if he'd decided to actually pursue an acting career?

One particular POD stands out to me: the makers of Labyrinth actually seriously considered Michael Jackson for the role of Jareth the Goblin King. What if he took it?

He'd be playing the role of the rogue drunken pirate in the Pirates of the Caribbean and the character wouldn't be called "Jack Sparrow" either.

He'd probably get a lot of dramatic roles, horror movie roles, play a Vampire, and a weird Peter Pan in a film produced by Tim Burton.

Sorry Raygun, but I don't see Michael Jackson playing as a rogue drunken pirate. Johnny Depp doing the Keith Richards persona couldn't have fit that role any better.

Now Tim Burton doing a dark Peter Pan movie starring MJ... I could definitely see that, or even Edward Scissorhands.
