What happens if Martin Luther never becomes a monk? Let's say for this POD, the leaves his parents one day earlier (July 1st 1505), is not surprised by a lightning storm and doesn't vow to become a monk if he survives.
Sometimes it's hard to pin the historic development onto one person and I know there were other catholic theologians who argued strongly for reforms. But what about the sola gratia principle? Would someone else formalize it? The german langue would be much different without his kinda loose translation of the bible... but that seems to be only a very small change compared to the gigantic impact his 95 theses had.
