OOC:If this has been discussed at length before, I apologize, the search function is being awkward on my iPad.
I know that Mario Cuomo came close to running for the Democratic nomination in 1992, according to earlier discussions on the board, he like most Democrats declined to run against against a highly popular President George H.W. Bush when the time to file came around. Now I've always wondered what would've happened if he had decided to run, and that's the point of this thread.
Specifically, would Cuomo have been able to clinch the nomination from ruvals like Bill Clinton and Paul Tsongas? And if he did become the nominee, how would have he fared against President Bush, and Ross Perot if he had decided to run as well?
