What if instead of the Manchus taking over China, they took over Korea?

Instead of the Ming collapsing in the mid-1600s, which allowed the Qing to swoop in and establish themselves, a peasant revolt establishes a lasting dynasty (perhaps a more competently run Shun Dynasty) with the Manchu hardly taking notice until it has passed.

Instead, the Manchu, who already successfully invaded Joseon in the 1630s, permanently establish their rule there over time. Their empire includes Manchuria, the Korean peninsula, and perhaps more territory in Siberia comes under their control (IOTL, Russia was conquering the Yakuts at this time).

With so much less territory and so much smaller of a foreign population to rule over, would the Manchu be able to incorporate them into Manchu culture instead of what happened with China IOTL (where basically the opposite took place)? How would this affect Korean history for the coming centuries?
