WI: Man of Science, Man of the People

When President Chaim Weizmann died in 1952, Einstein was asked to be Israel's second president, but he declined, stating that he had "neither the natural ability nor the experience to deal with human beings."'

Suppose the good Dr. Einstein had accepted the invitation? As a German-born Jew himself, would he have signed the West German reparation agreement? Would he have led Israel into the 'secret alliance' to recapture the Suez Canal? How would he have worked with Ben-Gurion?

OOC: Would Israel have a chronosphere? :p It's special Red Alert II unit: The Golem, a GI-like unit that is made by harvesters.

IC: Albert Einstein was a man of peace, and I'm sure he would have been disillusioned with the constant wars. If he doesn't drop out of the election quickly, I'm sure his platform could be one of co-operation into new areas of science for the region and enabled prosperity to flow as the West looks on in jealousy. However Israel will probably still be fighting wars and the Soviet Union will be even more furious that their equipment is being bested by insightful new technology on the battlefield. Perhaps we see an increase in technology due to a tech-race in the Middle East?
