WI Major Italian A-H fleet battle WWI

IOTL both the Italian and Austro-Hungarian navies adopted a very cautious fleet policy, neither navy engaged in extensive operations far from their bases. Instead remaining within the confines of harbors and not attempting to play a part in the war.
But what if that was not the case. What if both Italy and A-H used their fleets aggressively in the Adriatic? What if the two fleets met in an open battle? Who would likely emerge on top assuming the two fleets were more or less evenly matched? Assume Four Dreadnoughts each, four armored and six protected cruisers. And a flotilla or two of destroyers each.
Also assuming Italy won what would the likely effect of the war be?
The likely effect of an Austro-Hungarian victory?

First of all, unless the it is the Italian victory scenario and A-H admirals are total idiots, not in Aegean, but in Adriatic.
Well, Italian victory would had just a morale meaning. But by just a morale, I mean thousands of deserters willing to feed fresh intelligence to Italians. Unfortunately for Italians, the best general the Austrian's had was Luigi Cadorna. I doubt he would find a way to use these troops and these data. Also I would like to mention that in case of Italian victory, the French dreadnoughts would most likely be rebased to Scapa or la Havre.

Now, assuming Kuk navy wins the day, well that makes the world interesting for the Entente, in Chinese way. I doubt that Otranto barrage would be held. It was illusionary barrier for submarines for most part of the war, but it stopped Austrians from sending their cruisers on raids south. Now all Mediterranean Sea would be their hunting ground. Now depending, when the battle takes place the Austrians could use the drop of Italian morale for their advantage (battle of Piave?), or they could not (1916 with Brusilov kicking at their backdoor). Or this could encourage KuK army to be more offensive on Italian Front. With the Italian custom of arranging troops in offensive deployment regardless they are preparing for offensive or not (again credits goes to Cadorna), it takes just one division routed so the whole front line collapses.
