From what I read from a historian the chinese were interested in Luzon but not in the parts that are under the suzerainty of majapahit which were barren, the Northern Half of Luzon and the Eastern parts were held by Majapahit, however the Chinese led by Yongle had interests in Southern Luzon in the areas where Tagalogs originated as well as Sulu and not in the areas held by Majapahit..
What would be the effects if the Proto-Tagalogs and the Sulu Sultanate fell under Ming control under YongLe, how would that effect the history of the Philippines, would the Majapahit successor states vie for the control of the Chinese held parts of the Philippines once Majapahit starts to crumble.
This scenario reminds me of Korea when it was divided to many kingdoms before goguryeo...
