Magnavox made a video game called Table Tennis in 1972, programmed by gaming pioneer Ralph Baer. When they showed off the Magnavox console and Table Tennis Nolan Bushnell saw this, co-founded Atari and copied Table Tennis and made Pong. Magnavox sued and won, slapping Atari for a one time fee. What if instead Magnavox forced Atari to turn Pong, its copyright and its profits over to them? Would that kill Atari? Would it keep Magnavox afloat for longer?

Bushnell would have probably would have fought in court, using the Prior-art of a table tennis game on a PDP-1 at MIT in the late '60s.
Other way would be to use Atari's shell company, Kee Games as the main money maker and let Atari burn
