WI:Luzon is Dominated by Kapampangans

Before the Spanish times the Kapampangans lived in the Central Plains in Luzon which was the center of Agriculture in Luzon, what if their population boomed and expanded to other parts of Luzon in Cagayan Valley, Southern Luzon, Pangasinan and Ilocos region and became the Lingua franca of Luzon, what would be the consequences of this

This is my idea

Don't know enough about the Kapampangans. Who were they? And what would be a suitable POD to bring this about?

Kapampangans are the people of the Province of Pampanga and they have their own language and they are surrounded by tagalogs.

Origins? How old are the Kapampangan people (or rather, the Macabebes, who were the first known Kapampangans); how old is their culture? And how much more populous would they have to become than they were IOTL?

They were there before the Spanish came but their origins are unkown, how populous you ask? what I am asking is for them to be more populous than the OTL Tagalogs and Ilokanos and spread all over Luzon.
