What happens if King Louis XIV dies, say on February 1st, 1712, during the War of the Spanish Succession?
France has the year of 3 kings, Le Petit Dauphin would be dead by the 12th (I don't see this POD stopping his wife and him from getting smallpox) Louis, Duke of Brittany (the Petit Dauphin's 5 year old son) would likely also die of measles in early March like in OTL, so thats Louis XIV, XV and XVI with-in a month and a half, some kind of record, The Duke of Anjou (OTL's Louis XV) was also sick with smallpox at the time, this POD might kill him, ether before or after he became Louis XVII, then things go wonky, Philip V of Spain is the closet male relative but had given up his rights to the French Crown to be King of Spain 12 years before, in OTL he did move troops up to the border at this point and latter at the death of King Louis XIV in 1715 in hopes of grabbing the throne, but I doubt any one in France would want him, after Philip (and his heir, Louis) there's Charles, Duke of Berry in OTL he dies in 1714, but that was a hunting accident so it unlikely in this TL, in OTL he had no children that lived but again he was only married in OTL for 4 years and both he and his wife seemed able to have kids, just had bad luck at it, so if I were to guess, Charles X come early
