So, it wasn't until during The Great Upgrade that I realised who I was partly thinking about when thinking about Henry of France - Henry the Chaste, the Cardinal King of Portugal. The pope did not release him from his vows, mainly because he didn't want to anger Philip II of Spain.
If Henry is made king and released from his vows, I could see him being married to either Sibylla of Burgundy (OTL second wife of King Roger of Sicily) or Constance of Castile (OTL second wife of Louis VII).
Other things I could see would be Marie being betrothed to either Simon of Dreux, Raoul II of Vermandois or a son of Henry II (all three of them being a first cousin).
Somehow, I doubt Pope Eugene would be willing to make dispensations for all of these.
This has nothing to do with the ATL thread I just made on the subject. No, not at all.
