I believe the Continental and Confederation Congresses were chosen annually. I foresee some problems with this among them that as soon as large scale campaigning comes in the latter half of every year is going to be a time of political stagnation as everyone goes home to campaign. Most legislatures in the United States, to my knowledge, are elected every two years. Would it be possible, and practical, for a legislature to be elected every year? Has this ever been done, in American history?
