WI Lady Jane Grey marries Edward VI in 1547?

In 1547 Thomas Seymour proposed marrying Jane to his nephew, the newly-crowned King Edward VI. However, Seymour's brother, Edward Seymour Duke of Sommerset, held the power in their nephew Edward's household. Somerset had already arranged a match for the king with Princess Elisabeth de France, the daughter of Henry II de France.
With two conflicting goals, the Seymour brothers engaged in a power struggle. However, primarily due to the ill health of the young king, the marriage between Edward and Jane never took place. The Seymour brothers were eventually both tried for treason and executed after a coup by the ambitious John Dudley Duke of Northamberland.
WI the marriage between Jane Grey and Edward VI had taken place in 1547? How is this altering History? Any thoughts?

It would certainly cause some genetic problems for the royal family further down the track however. Perhaps more insanity and the like becoming prevalant.

As Edward would still likely sucumb to his sickness, then its likely this will have little or no effects.

Hmm...Mary would be the legal heir if he and Jane have no children (given Edward's health, that would be a distinct probability).

However, if Jane were the widowed Queen and not just some pretender, would she have more popular support against Mary when Edward dies?

(she didn't have much and that was one reason why she fell)

If you want to make things interesting, perhaps she manages to last more than nine days, there's some chaos and violence, and she gets smuggled to the Netherlands or some other Protestant state, to hold in reserve against the Catholic Queen Mary?

But what if Jane managed to produce a live baby?

Would England become millitantly protestant?

In OTL Edward VI was seen as an ultra protestant. I am not clear how long this could have gone.

Well Edward was fifteen when he died, right? So a child is not completely out of the question; even if it would only be a baby at the time of Edward's death. That's an interesting thought, Mary and Philip vs Jane Grey, her baby son, and maybe Elizabeth. Hmmmm I could write a timeline on that...

Jane being close to Edward VI in the family tree he could held the Crown matrimonial (and by bloodline of course) and succeed him as Queen after his untimely death... The interesting part would be if she has a baby by him before Edward dies...

And the Protestant Lords

Jane Grey

She could claim the throne as a great grand child of Henry VII. I don't think she would have been executed though. She would be in a much stronger position if she manages to have a son by Edward. When Edward died, Protestants were still not that well established, and even many of them supported Mary. But with Jane married to Edward, and Edward dying young, there would be pressure on Jane to re-marry quickly.

WI somehow Duke of Norfolk manages to persuade Parliament to name him Lord Protector? Or he can go further and attempt to marry Jane? He attempted OTL to marry Mary Stewart if i am not mistaken...
