What if the 5,000 or so Japanese Troops who landed at Kota Bharu Malaysia are all killed or captured? The how doesn't really matter so much. I think there were some UK or Indian artillery near the landing site. Let's say they get really lucky and hit the three IJN transport ships carrying the 5,000 troops very early in the landing process.
These troops were the farthest forward landed units for the Malaysia campaign.
How seriously does this delay the surrender of Singapore?
Could it be enough to even allow Singapore to hang on? (At least till more IJA/IJN assets get transferred to Malaysia)
