WI - Kornilov's Military Dictatorship?

What if Germany offers a more generous peace deal where Russia only loses Poland, Lithuania, and Courland, though?

Initially, Germans demanded from Bolsheviks only Poland and Baltic States. And this was peace offer given to hated Bolsheviks, while Russia was already set aflame, and in no condition to resist anymore. Only when Lenin got cocky and refused under slogan "no war, no peace", Germans got pissed off and also grabbed Ukraine and Belarus for good measure.

Keep in mind, that Kornilov was most amenable of all White Army commanders to striking anti-Bolshevik deals with separatists and recognizing their independence. So he'd probably have most realistic view about German peace offer.

If he managed to seize power (whether alone or allied with and subordinate to Kerensky), and Bolsheviks attempted coup in response to that would trigger civil war, I think he'd let Germans have Poland and Lithuania and Courland, since they've already occupied that.

He'd probably try to appease more detached from reality politicians and commanders, arguing they'd be able to rejoin war and take it back after Bolsheviks are crushed.
And he very well might do just that. He might do it like Romanians did, one day before Germany surrendered, but he probably would.

Sort of funny, I just came across this thread, but it basically discusses a lot of the things I have been doing with the Russian parts of my TL so far with the PoD of Stalin and Lenin getting killed during the July Days and the Kornilov Affair being a bit more successful in the short run.
