1346 was a year of military triumph for the English under King Edward III, defeating the French at Crecy and the Scots at Neville's Cross. In both battles, the French and Scottish kings were wounded in the face by arrows. IOTL, Philip escaped with his life while David was taken captive, but what if those arrows had ended up killing both of them? Edward III might not be able to have any more success than IOTL, and the Black Death has just broken out in the Crimea and may still be an issue.

Any thoughts?
