WI: King Henry IX (Henry Stuart survives)

Let's say that it's Charles Stuart, not Henry, catches typhus and dies in 1612. Instead, Henry survives his father to become King Henry IX and I in 1625. Would Henry follow the pattern of Stuart absolutism? If so, how would the people react to a Protestant absolutist taking the throne? What would he do to English catholics? Would we see a catholic settler colony similar to the puritans in Plymouth? Would England agree to the stern calvinist presbyterians taking over the Church of England, or would the English instead moderate the Church? .

Edit: wrong forum. Please move to pre-1900

When I see "Henry IX" in After 1900 I thought you somehow made Prince Harry the next in line over William... shouldn't this be in Before 1900?

What is it with people posting WRONG FORUM (usually multiple people!) and no one actually reporting it so the mods can move it? It's like it's a race to see who can tell someone their thread should be moved faster.

Henry seems likely to be better loved than Charles, but absolutism seems likely to cause conflict whatever creed the monarch follows - it runs roughshod over too many tender toes.

There is a brilliant timeline in the finished one's based on this premise called "Henry IX 'the great'" - absolutly brilliant.
