WI King George II of Greece and Government were captured in 1941 in Crete?

In 1941 King George II escaped to Crete on 22 April and issued a defiant memorandum to the Germans, Hitler responded by attacking the king in a speech given on 4 May. The British feared the propaganda coup that the capture by airborne troops of a sovereign monarch under their protection would represent.
The king was staying in a villa near the village of Perivolia, outside Chania. He and his entourage narrowly escaped capture at that house and at the abode of Emmanouil Tsouderos, the prime minister. From the garden of Tsouderos's home, German paratroopers were seen landing in the area of the king's villa, although it later turned out they were members of 3rd Battalion, 3rd Parachute Rifle Regiment, which was assigned to the Galatas sector and whose members had been dropped near the villa by mistake. The king was accompanied by his cousin, Prince Peter, Colonel D. Levidis his Master of Ceremonies, Prime Minister E.Tsouderos and K. Varvaressos, Governor-in-Exile of the Bank of Greece (it was rumoured that Varvaressos had shipped to Crete the gold deposits from the Bank of Greece) What do u think? WI The King, the PM and some members of the Government escorting the King were captured by the German paratroopers??? How is that altering History? Any thoughts???

Hmm, that does leave some possibilities. Could George II be persuaded by Hitler to serve as a puppet ruler of a collaborationist government?

In any case, I could see EAM/ELAS exploiting it (and maybe even EDES) to push for a republic in Greece.

King George II was an ardent Anglophile... His late PM I. Metaxas on the other hand was officialy neutral but unofficial was kinda German-influenced... Current PM E. Tsouderos was a former Republicanist (sic) turned Monarchist (actually he was appointed as PM only because he was Cretan and that would make the King's stay on the overwhelming Republican island easier...)

What about the kids? What was their stance on Germany at that time?

Metaxas I can understand - in fact, isn't it true that Hitler did not want to help Mussolini regarding Greece, at first? If so, could Metaxas be persuaded to form a collaborationist government instead of the other people involved, like Rallis?

George II was childless but his heir presumptive Prince Paul was married to Frederica of Hannover and she was kinda sympathetic towards the Nazis...
British wouldnt like that... There are still rumours circulating in Greece that Metaxas's sudden death on 29/01/1941 on the height of the war was by poisoning from a British agent in order that British troops be allowed to enter greek soil (In OTL King George II appointed an anglophile Alexandros Koryzis as PM following Metaxas death and he allowed British troops to enter Greece provoking Hitler to attack)
